BASIC OBEDIENCE

An 8 week course that covers heel, sit, down, stand, the recall and stays. Each week we are introducing new exercises to develop appropriate behavior at home and in public.

Handlers are taught how to address undesirable reactive behaviors. This course trains people to train dogs.

Linda Greco is the instructor of this course and she has been training dogs and their owners for 47 years. She has learned several different techniques to help modify bad behaviors and to encourage good behaviors. She is currently the Novice Obedience Instructor for the Hollywood Dog Obedience Club in Los Angeles for 6 years. She and her husband, Jim, moved to Menifee 2 years ago to start this dog training facility.

I love Linda's class. If you're looking for an affordable class with a highly experienced trainer, this is the place. My black GSD is 4-1/2 years old and the most challenging rescue dog I've ever had. If he had been my first dog, I would have been a cat person. I adore him and I'm committed to his training but I had no experience with a dog like him. Despite having already completed several group classes and really really really expensive behavioral workshops with 'famous' (and infamous) trainers, his reactivity persisted. At orientation, I remember Linda saying "If you don't give up on your dog, I won't give up on you." That outright commitment was much needed encouragement. My experience with less knowledgeable trainers was that they would cash the check, say things like "no dog is perfect" and stop calling back.
Linda will teach you how to train your dog but she will not train the dog for you. I find that to be more valuable in the long run. My dog and I have really upped our obedience game (he even won a trophy!) but more importantly, I'm learning how to address his reactivity. I can literally feel how much happier he is when I walk him. We're having more fun--including when other dogs are present. I get to praise him a ton and watch him beam. I'm super grateful for Linda's guidance. She's showing me who my dog really is and he's pretty awesome. :)" Jean K.

Reviews from LA class

"LInda, who now runs the Novice classes, is a skilled and gifted trainer who not only loves dogs, but is dedicated to helping them to achieve their full potential.  No matter how large or small the class (I have been in classes with 12 dogs and classes with 30 dogs), Linda always manages to give individualized attention to everyone and makes herself available before and after class and by email for questions and tips.  She employs a trusted training method of equal parts loving support and firmness which she moderates, depending on the specific demeanor and personality of each individual dog."  Traci E.

"I've trained with Linda and the group for about a year and I highly praise them. For one they have turned my love for dogs even into a bigger passion of mine. I've become more more disciplined in being more consistent with them and its made me have more fun with my best friends. The group is positive and very helpful. I have two crazy hard headed babies that come from power breeds and Linda has taught me the necessary steps into shaping them up to becoming the obdienent  animals I wanted them to be. Of course everything takes time, consistency and patience but I trusted them and the results have been truly amazing."   B.C.
